approx. sixteen team autographs (including David Beckham, Roy Keane, Ryan Giggs, Andy Cole, Paul Scholes), long sleeved, heat pressed LITTLEWOODS FA CHARITY SHIELD patches, SCHOLES 18 verso
Note: Manchester United (1996/97 Premier League winners) defeated Chelsea (1996/97 FA Cup winners) 4-2 (Scholes scoring one) in the penalty shoot-out, after the game ended 1-1.
Provenance: This shirt was gifted to the vendor's son by Martin Ferguson (scout for Manchester United at the time, and brother of Sir Alex Ferguson) at some point after the final. Possibly a player issue shirt for Paul Scholes. Scholes wore a short sleeved shirt during the final, though some wore long sleeved shirts. It is possible that this is the long sleeved shirt prepared for Scholes for the game.

The shirt is not match worn but the quality of the finish (stitched makers label, pressing of patches) as well as provenance suggest that it could be player issue.
