Buying at Auction
There is an auction every week at McTear's. Every Friday at
10.30am an auction of general antiques (Vintage & Modern) is held
and that auction will include around 500 lots of silver & jewellery,
furniture, clocks, pictures & collectables. You can view these
auctions on the Thursday prior to the auction from 9am till 7pm and
on the morning of the auction from 9am.
Usually once a month on a Saturday at 10.30am an auction of
Antiques & Fine Art is held. This auction will comprise normally
600-700 lots of antique & decorative furniture, paintings from
around the world, fine and affordable jewels, along with bronzes,
works of art, rare collectables and silver. The monthly antiques
auctions can be viewed for two days, on the Thursday and Friday
prior to the auction from 9am till 7pm and on the morning of the
auction from 9am.
Our world renown Rare Whisky & Wine auctions are held four times
every year, once every three months, and consist generally of
500-600 lots of fine & rare malts, drinking whisky, port and fines.
These auctions can be viewed on the day prior to the sale from 9am
till 5pm. The auction commences at 10.30am.
