Purchased from John Bell of Aberdeen in 1973 and accompanied with the dealer's receipt and correspondence regarding the mull. The mull was first offered to Mr Fox by letter in February of 1973, being described by John Bell as "a very remarkable Scottish provincial Fox Head Snuff Mull" and "is certainly the only one of its kind in the World". It was purchased for £345.
