The July Rare & Fine Whisky Auction features a plethora of fantastic bottles, with some of the highlights being from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society once again. Top of the pile is lot 131, a Springbank 1965 bottled in 1993 with the code 27.24, estimated at £2,000-£3,000. There are also a handful of first cask releases including the Ben Nevis 1966 78.1 (lot 128), Glenlochy 1976 62.1 (lot 132), and Pittyvaich 1976 90.1 (lot 135).
It wouldn't be a Whisky Auction without a Macallan, this time a 1958 Campbell, Hope and King bottling in lot 122, expected to achieve £2,500-£3,500.
Entries are currently invited for the next auction, taking place on 14 August. McTear’s hold The Rare & Fine Whisky Auction every six weeks.
