TROUGHTON & SIMMS BRASS AND STEEL STATION POINTER also known as a ship's map protractor, engraved with manufacturer's mark and '?345' complete with booklet 'On the Station Pointer and the manner of Fixing a Ship's Position by its Aid (London: Hydrographic Office, 1903), the inside of the wooden case with printed stamp dated '10 Nov 1910', engraved '281' to hinged lid of case, the pointer approximately 47cm long
