LATE 19TH CENTURY JAPANESE KATANA,
with bound shagreen handle, gilt decorated tsuba and leather bound scabbard, 97cm long overall

Condition Report
The blade is 78cm long, tang unsigned. Additional images uploaded. Wear evident across the components. The blade is in good condition. The hole to hold the peg is not in line and so the peg does not sit easily in the hole. We have not reinserted the peg.

The length of the cutting edge of the blade is 60cm. The scabbard is 71cm long.

The blade is fairly straight.
