A VANITY SET HAND PAINTED BY GLASGOW GIRL HELEN PAXTON BROWN

HAND PAINTED VANITY SET BY HELEN PAXTON BROWN,
comprising a tray and two lidded jars, handpainted with polychrome flowers and butterflies, the lidded jars with moulded butterfly handles, painted marks to base, the tray 29.5cm wide, the jars 6.5cm high

Note: Helen Paxton Brown was one of the Glasgow girls along with Jessie M. King, Annie French, Bessie MacNicol and more who were active in Glasgow at the turn of the twentieth century.
