EARLY 20TH CENTURY GOLD MEDAL AND THREE OTHERS
1915 GOLD MEDAL AWARDED TO J. BALFOUR OF MOSSBLOWN JUNIORS,
the obverse with a raised shield inscribed 'C&DA 1915', the reverse inscribed 'Won by Mossblown Junrs, JBalfour', 36mm high including bale, in nine carat gold, along with three other unengraved medals, 29.4g gross (4)
Note: J Balfour was the biological father of Tommy Gemmell of St Mirren F.C.
Provenance: The archive of the late Tommy Gemmell, this lot included, is offered at auction on behalf of the family of the late player.
