* BRENDA LENAGHAN DA RSW (SCOTTISH B 1941), SILK (inspired by the book by Alessandro Baricco) mixed media, signed 52cm x 72cm Mounted, framed and under glass. Note: Brenda Lenaghan DA RSW was born is Galashiels in 1941. She went on to study at Glasgow School of Art between 1958-63. Brenda has won many awards, including SSWA's Anne Redpath Award in 1975 & 1983, and the Special Award in 1980. Brenda also won the RSA's Maud Gemmell Hutchison Award in 1996. Brenda's son lives and works in Japan and she visits him every year. The art of Japan has had a profound influence over her work.
