Note: Duncan Macleod was born in Glasgow in 1952. He studied at Glasgow School of Art, graduating D.A. in 1974. He then went on to teacher training at Jordanhill College of Education. Since leaving art school, he has continued to paint and to exhibit widely, while working as a teacher of art. In 1980 he was elected to membership of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours (RSW). In 1981, he was awarded the Torrance Memorial Award at the Royal Glasgow Institute (RGI). He has been a member of the Scottish Arts Council Lecturers Panel since 1992 and has had an entry in Who's Who in Art since 1993. He has work in collections worldwide including those of the Bank of Scotland, James Barr and Son, DCI Holdings, Strathclyde Education Authority, Lilley Construction, the Romanian Embassy, London and the Museum of Fine Art, Tenerife.
