* STANLEY CURSITER CBE FRSE FRIAS FEIS RSA RSW (SCOTTISH 1887 - 1976), CASSIS, FRANCE watercolour on paper, signed and dated 1920 33.5cm x 49cm Mounted, framed and under glass Labels verso: Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours. Inscribed with title, artist's name and address. Aitken Dott & Son, Carvers & Gilders, 26 Castle Street, Edinburgh. Note: In June 2016 ''The Ribbon Counter'' sold at Christie's (London) and established another new auction record for Cursiter of £338,500 (premium). His current record for a watercolour stands at £13,000 (hammer) Sotheby's (London) for ''Cassis'' a 58.42 x 83.82 cm watercolour, signed and dated 1920.
