Note : Donald Macquarrie has a painting 'The Noonday Rest' in the collection of Paisley Museum and Art Gallery who document his dates as 1872 to after 1933. It is also recorded that he opened a studio in Winnipeg, Canada in 1910 and was appointed the first Curator of The Winnipeg Art Gallery in 1912.
