Note: Kenneth Padley was born in Lincolnshire in 1926. He excelled at art at school and was awarded a scholarship to Lincoln College of Art. He worked as a sculptor and painter of wildlife, and subsequently became Senior Lecturer in Fine Art and Head of the Photographic Department at Loughborough College of Art. He was a Fellow of the Royal Photogaphic Society, a Life Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Fellow of the Zoological Photographic Club. Kenneth Padley was widely known for his meticulous detail in his animal paintings and correctness in detailing their habitat and behaviour. He was a keen naturalist and an authority on the badger.
