A MID 19TH CENTURY FRENCH SEAL

MID 19TH CENTURY FRENCH SEAL,
a gift to Joseph Paxton (architect of Crystal Palace in London), the parcel handle engraved with floral panels and with an entwined in relief, with a bloodstone held in claws, 7.5cm long, with original fitted case
Note: This seal was a gift to Paxton from The Baronne de Dehner in December 1849, and is accompanied with a handwritten note from the baroness.
