INTERESTING WWI MILITARY ARCHIVE RELATING TO JOHN MCWILLIAM containing The British War Medal and the 1914-15 Star, named for '6503 PTE. J. MCWILLIAM. SCO. RIF.', a collection of badges from different regiments, including the Australian Commonwealth Military Forces, West and East Yorkshire, Royal Corps of Signals, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, Cameronian Scottish Rifles, etc, with other miscellania, including a whistle, trench art bullet, buttons from general service uniforms; also with a quantity of letters and postcards written by McWilliam to his parents, mobilisation order, soldiers rhymes book, poem written by his comrade upon the death of McWilliam, letter from his brother Douglas, photograph album inscribed to inside front cover '5th SR in the Trenches' depicting the regiment in the trenches with images of planes, including a 'Sopwith Snipe', a 'Bristol Fighter', etc, two Princess Mary Christmas tins, death penny for McWilliam, letter from Director of Graves Registration and Enquiries, etc
