AN AMERICAN ART DECO STERLING SILVER COMPACT

AMERICAN ART DECO STERLING SILVER COMPACT,
the slender upright oblong case with engine turned covers within canted bright cut borders, revealing a fitted interior with hinged mirrored compartment and two smaller compartments, the front cover engraved initials ‘R. A. T.’, with mesh carrying handle, the interior stamped Sterling and makers monogram for James E. Blake of Attleboro, Massachusetts, 8cm x 4cm

Condition Report
Condition generally good to fair. Slight misshapen in sections of the chain. Surface wear throughout including tarnish commensurate with use and age. Hinges and catches work well, though there is a slight stiffness to the two catches of the interior compartments.
