IMPRESSIVE GEORGE III SILVER TANKARD,
maker's mark IC possibly for John Carter, London 1776, of good gauge and size, the lid with armorial featuring four martlets and chevron beneath lion's head within wheatsheaf border, with pierced thumbpiece, the C-scroll handle also engraved with wheatsheaves, the tapered body with two reeded bands, 18cm high, approx 913g
