Note; Christine McArthur is one of the leading figures in Scottish contemporary Art. Her work is exhibited by Roger Billcliffe Gallery Glasgow and The Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh which is currently (1st April - 24th April 2021) staging her latest solo show. The typical gallery price for a large oil this size would be in the region of £8500. McArthur trained at Glasgow School of Art between 1971-76 and taught at both Glasgow University and Glasgow School of Art until 1980, when she became a full time artist. She has gone on to exhibit in Scotland, London and internationally and her work is held in many public and private collections."
