LARGE QAJAR POTTERY TILE,
second half of the 19th century, decorated in polychrome enamels on a cobalt ground with a figural scene, 51.2cm diameter, mounted on a later backing

Condition Report
This tile has been extensively damaged and restored, overall of a muted non-reflective finish; crack running from between 2 and 3 o'clock into centre, from between 11 and 12 right through the tile with restoration running along as well as smaller hairlines including one at edge between 10 and 11; further hairlines and particularly noticeable restoration upper right and lower left, additional touch ups etc throughout; this tile has been mounted onto an additional backing so presumably unstable without this or further professional attention; further surface depressions and bruises, glaze scratches and impacts; crazed throughout with the majority of the crazing lines able to felt with a fingernail; chips and heavy wear around the edge of the tile; underglaze bubbling, staining and dirt visible; additional images illustrating these issues available
