VERY IMPRESSIVE DUTCH GOLD DUCAT FROM THE SHIPWRECK OF 'DE LIEFDE' DATED 1711,
3.5g, with accompanying original auction catalogue from Glendining & Co. dated 1969

The 'De Liefde' went down in the North Sea on the 7th of November 1711 off the Out Skerries, Shetland Isles, carrying a cargo of gold and silver coins, many of which were freshly minted that year.
