A LOT OF FOUR VICTORIAN HORSE PRIZE MEDALS

HIGHLAND AND AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY OF SCOTLAND MEDAL 1876,
awarded to Robert Clark, Skeroblin for Brood Mare, Kintyre 1876, the obverse inscribed with the society motto 'Semper Armis Nunc et Industria', below a figural scene in low relief, depicting the logo of the society, the reverse inscribed 'To Robert Clark Skeroblin for Brood Mare Kintyre 1876', within wreath motif, outer inscription 'Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland Inst. MDCCLXXXIV', 36mm diameter, along with three other Victorian horse prize medals comprising another Brood Mare oval prize plaquette to Robert Clark 1891, a Beith Farmers Society silver medal for 'Best Animal of the Horse Kind of Any Age', won by T. Kennedy, and an 1899 silver Ayrshire Pony Society medal for the Best Groomed Pair (4)
