MID-18TH CENTURY FLINTLOCK HOLSTER PISTOL BY DANIEL MOORE OF LONDON the 20.5cm steel barrel engraved 'D.L Moore of London' and with three proof marks, the steel lock plate engraved D Moore, the walnut stock with silver trigger guard, inlaid silver catouches and butt cast with a grotesque mask, London 1768, 36cm overall Note: Daniel Moore (1750 - 1801) made screw cannon barrel flintlock pocket pistols with musket butt caps. Under contract with the East India Company and made flintlock holster pistols and flintlock muskets. Shop in London (A.
