GLENFARCLAS 30 YEAR OLD, 25 YEAR OLD, 21 YEAR OLD AND 15 YEAR OLD
Single malt.
Still independently owned, Glenfarclas has been operated by the Grant Family since 1865 when John Grant bought the distillery for the princely sum of £511.19s.0d. In today’s money that’s about £69,000, so still a bargain.
The distillery’s microclimate ensures one of the lowest Angel’s Shares in Scotland, allowing Glenfarclas to release staggeringly old expressions that still boast eye watering ABVs, and their (almost) exclusive use of European oak Sherry Casks results in a whisky that’s resinous and rich in dried fruit notes.
This lot offers a superb vertical tasting tour of Glenfarclas' old style core range.
