GOOD BLACK FOREST SMOKING TABLE,
late 19th century, in lindenwood, the base modelled as a bear clutching a tree-trunk, the hinged head enclosing a storage compartment, supporting a pierced foliate carved oval top housing two lidded compartments with bear finials, with further bear surmount, 90.8cm high

Condition Report
Condition good to fair. Damage to right paw and restoration to left foot of the small bear surmount to the top. Also screw lacking/work carried out to the two smaller compartments hinges. No ashtray insert. Stable split, to wood on right arm of larger bear, and light wear throughout, though nothing which compromises the structure of the piece.
