19TH CENTURY BRONZED METAL FIGURE OF NIKE,
modelled standing on a sphere and holding a laurel wreath, on a marble square tapered column, 68cm high
Nike was the Greek winged goddess of Victory, and was known to the Romans as Victoria.

Condition Report
In our opinion this is bronzed spelter, width from wing to wing tip is 44cm; the lower right section of her robe has been shorn off and is now a vertical line (see image); pronounced pitting to her left foot and orb, further scuffs and scrapes and general wear; base with chips (see image)
