NUDE ASCENDING A STAIRCASE, BY SALVADOR DALI
a bronze sculpture by Salvador Dali (Spanish surrealist, 1904-1989) titled, Nude Ascending a Staircase, depicting a female figurine perched atop an oversized seashell. An homage to Marcel Duchamp, the piece was created in 1973 and the signature of the artist is impressed in the bronze; it is also engraved 2/999 in the bronze. Published by 2049 Obra Contemporanea, Spain. Excellent condition. From Foundry Bonvicini, Verona, Italy. This sculpture comes with a certificate of authenticity from the publisher and it is listed, described and pictured in the artist's catalogue raisonne by Robert Descharnes, plate #412 page 162 and 163
