19TH CENTURY NORTH ITALIAN ROSEWOOD BUREAU MAZARIN,
in the manner of Pietro Piffetti, inlaid throughout in engraved bone with classical motifs, mythical beasts and floral sprays, the upper section with two short central drawers flanked by two larger drawers to each side, the inlaid writing surface within two outset canted corners, central frieze drawer with cupboard below, with three drawers to each side, on octagonal tapering legs joined by cross stretchers, on turned feet, 145cm wide

See additional images for supporting illustrations of listed issues: split to panel on right side, losses of inlay particularly to top, some mother of pearl replacements, veneer chips and losses, bubbling and lifting of veneer, left stretcher with splits to centre, right stretcher section with old tar-like repair, both stretchers with chips, feels a little loose right side, vertical split through kneehole door, split to kneehole section left side, scuffs and scrapes throughout and further wear commensurate with age and use
