AN IMPRESSIVE LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH FIGURAL MANTEL CLOCK

LATE 19TH CENTURY FRENCH FIGURAL MANTEL CLOCK,
by Henri Marc, with two train eight day movement, the white enamel Roman numeral dial inscribed maker's name, the case surmounted with the figure of a king on horseback above assorted weaponry and armour, raised on a rocky outcrop, the heavily cast case mounted with foliate swags, porcelain panels and further weaponry within scroll and gadrooned borders, raised on five feet, 64cm high, raised on a lacquered plinth and under a glass dome, 72cm high

Condition Report
Case generally good, with light wear and tarnish as per age. Damage to the top of the standard, the tip has come loose but still sits upon the standard. Some of the mounts slightly loose though just need retightening. No glazing for dial, slight discolouration around the key holes, and wear to the face. Mechanism sound and ticking at present.
Pendulumn present, though no key.
Plinth with general wear and losses to lacquer, wear to dome too.

Clock height excluding base and dome 64cm, 17.5cm deep
