With regards the medal, there is the possibility a minor restoration has taken place to the buckle, though this is in keeping with the soldering to the balls at the edges and so may be intentional.
There is evidence of soldering to the reverse where it has at one stage been turned into a brooch.
The plaque is made of oak, and is generally good to fair condition, wi5 wear as per age.
The plaque weighs approximately 180g
