by Walter McAdam of Glasgow, with two train eight day movement, the white enamel dial with Roman and Arabic numerals, with subsidiary seconds and calendar dials, the Lynette painted with an image of Glasgow Cathedral, the spandrels with figures allegorical of the seasons, with moulded dentil cornice above a waisted trunk and block base, on bracket feet, outlined throughout in boxwood, 202cm high

Historic splits to the wood (most noticeable towards the hood), as well as gouges to the base (areas been filled as per a sign of tentative restoration).
