SCOTTISH FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP GOLD MEDAL 1970/71,
awarded to Jim Brogan of Celtic F.C., the obverse with central shield shaped plaque with red enamelled lion rampant motif, surrounded by enamelled thistle motifs and blue enamel border inscribed 'Scottish Football League Championship', the reverse inscribed 'First Division, Season 1970-71', 47mm high including bale, maker JWB, in nine carat gold, 14.3g

Note: Celtic would win their sixth consecutive league in a row, with 54 points to Aberdeen's 54. This title race was fought to the wire, with Aberdeen facing Celtic in their penultimate game. If the Dons had won the game they would have won the league, but a 1-1 draw handed Celtic the opportunity to capitalise, hand Celtic the chance to win the league in their final match.
