SCOTTISH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION SCOTTISH CUP GOLD MEDAL 1948,
awarded to William 'Billy' Williamson of Rangers F.C., the obverse inscribed 'Scottish Football Association' in blue enamel border around a pierced oval depicting a lion rampant, beneath a thistle motif, the reverse inscribed 'Winners Scottish Cup 1947-48 W. Williamson', 40mm high including bale, maker R.H., in nine carat gold, on bow motif brooch with pin clasp, 11.5g gross

Note: This medal was awarded to William 'Billy' Williamson of Rangers F.C. for the 1947-48 Scottish Cup final. Williamson didn’t play in the first leg of the final (which ended in a 1-1 draw) however went on to play in the replay four days later, with Williamson scoring the winning goal to see Rangers defeat Morton 1-0.
