FIVE VICTORIAN AND EARLY 20TH CENTURY MEDALS

VICTORIAN LEANDER MEDAL,
the obverse depicting Leander swimming the Hellespont and inscribed 'Leander Medal', the reverse inscribed 'Awarded to Charles Ja. Fox, by Professor Poulton of London at the Sheffield Baths Sep 21. 1858' within wreath motif border, 45mm diameter, unmarked, along with four other medals comprising a Royal Academy of Singing medal, the obverse depicting the head of Apollo in profile and a lyre to his shoulder, the reverse inscribed 'Royal Academy of Music Instituted 1822 Katherine W. Fairley Singing 1893', unmarked, a Silver 100 Yards medal, the obverse with central shield shaped plaque with horse head and castle motif in relief, the reverse with wreath motif and inscribed '1936 100 yards 12-13. J.B. Fox', 45mm diameter, maker R&S, Birmingham, a Howick Seniors Challenge Cup medal, the obverse with wreath motif, the reverse inscribed 'Winner Howick Seniors Challenge Cup 1903', 30mm high including bale, unmarked, and an N.R.A. medal, the obverse with figural decoration within border inscribed '1300-1500 N.R.A. 1860 Rifle Clubs', 41mm high including bale, unmarked (5)
