AJ Simpson graduated from Grays school of Art, Aberdeen with a BA Hons in 3D Design in 2021, specialising in ceramics. They craft a mix of wheel-thrown and hand-built pieces. AJ enjoys exploring the novel side of ceramics through their fun ‘blob’ series of decorative one-off characters. These creatures are inspired by AJ's love for illustration and collecting rocks as a child. AJ won the 2022 series of The Great Pottery Throwdown on Channel 4.
