Note: Born in Anstruther, Franc P Martin studied at the Glasgow School of Art under David Forrester Wilson, 1919 -20. A painter of landscapes, genre subjects and still life in oil and watercolour, he frequently exhibited at the Royal Glasgow Institute, Royal Scottish Academy and Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. He was also commissioned to produce a number of celebrated posters for the Post Office. He was elected President of The Glasgow Art Club and Secretary of the Royal Glasgow Institute.
