* JASON HICKLIN RE (BRITISH b 1966), DORSET RAINBOW oil and watercolour on paper, signed and dated '98 in pencil 24cm x 42cm Mounted, framed and under glass. Note: Jason Hicklin was born in Wolverhampton in 1966 and studied at St. Martin's College of Art where he was a student of the renowned printmaker Norman Ackroyd RA. After completing a postgraduate course at the Central School of Art in 1991, Hicklin combined working as Ackroyd's studio assistant and editioner with producing his own work. Hicklin was elected a member of the Royal Society of Painters and Printmakers in 1993 and has had numerous solo and joint exhibitions including exhibiting regularly at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and the London Contemporary Art Fair. He has also taken part in touring exhibitions in France and Barcelona. He has been awarded the Hunting Art Prize at the Royal College of Art and the Julian Trevelyan RE Memorial Prize at the National Printmaking Exhibition in 1997.
