Note: Scottish artist best known for painting figurative subjects and interiors. Studied and lived in Glasgow. In 1891 he was living in Dennistoun, in 1898 in Cambuslang and in 1907 in Rutherglen.
He was a member of RSW, exhibiting there frequently. In addition he exhibited his work at the Dowdeswell Galleries and 45 times at the Glasgow Institute of the Fine Arts. He died in Edinburgh in 1932.
