Rome, in the manner of Giacomo Raffaelli, the rectangular panel depicting Pliny's Doves, the rouge jasper and marble body with silver mounts, mark of cross keys beneath crown and no. 137 within lozenge cartouche to rim interior, 9.2cm x 7.5cm, 2.7cm high

Panel appears good, possibly one individual tile to middle right section lost but this is not definitive, very slight loss upper left corner and further slight wear to edges; frame upper section has had laminate restoration as can clearly be seen with further restoration visible to sides and corners; further nicks and nibbles around the body including to rear left corner edge, front left corner and right side of base; further nicks and tarnish to silver; additional images available
