Note: Glasgow painter in oil and watercolour, also an etcher. Mainly interested in views of shipping and yachting on the Clyde and the Argyll coast. His work invokes the mood of the period remarkably well; a keen yachtsman, many works being completed on the family yacht 'Calmara'. Exhibited at the Royal Academy once, the RSA 15 times between 1930-1954 and at the Glasgow Institute. He is represented in the Glasgow Art Gallery.
