GEORGE III GOLD MILITARY GUINEA DATED 1813,
featuring the famous 'military' portrait of the King, produced especially to fund the Duke of Wellington's army against Napoleon featuring a design that did not appear on any other guinea, the reverse shows a crowned shield within a Garter with 'HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE' translating to 'shame be to him who thinks evil of it', the legend reading 'BRITANNIARUM REX FIDEI DEFENSOR', translating to 'King of Britain, Defender of the Faith', with 1813 between the legend and the Garter, in box, with certificate of authenticity
