For Nonxvi/ViBE art is his life. He loves colour and stark silhouettes. Influences on his work include LS Lowry, Maggie Hambling, Richard Hambleton, Banksy, the photographs of Matt Smith, festival music, free party movement, and political activism. He is a life long socialist and anarchist, and believes in the right to free expression, and access to the arts for all. ViBE, is his alt. This is the name he uses to paint festivals, and capture that freedom of open air dancing, from dawn to dusk to dawn. He draws from life or photographs and uses anything to hand, pencil, pen, or a stick dipped in mud. Art is his life, it’s not what he does, art is how he breathes.
