with silvered dial in brass case, bearing presentation inscription to reverse Silver Medal Awarded by The Royal Scottish Society of Arts to Robert Henry Smith, Professor of Engineering Tokio [sic], Japan for his paper on sensitive rotating Governors. 1877.
