Allison Young graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1988, with first class honours, then did a postgraduate diploma. In 1991 she studied in Lodz, Poland, for a year, under the British Council Scholarship Scheme. In 2001 she was artist in residence at Edinburgh Zoo. Allison's work is exhibited widely in Scotland and in London.
