McTear’s will only describe gold/platinum/silver as such when a full UK standard set of hallmarks is present on the object. Other marks such as foreign import stamps will be noted in the description. In heavily worn condition.
Plating has worn off of the shank/some of the setting.
Previous large acid/file mark on the underside of the shank.
Chips visible on some of the baguette stones.
To the naked eye, the stones vary in colour between yellow/brown.
Black inclusions are visible throughout the stones.
Under magnification, both black and white inclusions are visible throughout the stones.
Stones are not well matched and colour difference is noticeable.
