Award winning artist Nigel Humphries is a UK artist who has steadily built a reputation for producing oil paintings of modern and retro sweets, chocolates and toys. Nigel's work is intensely detailed with a light hearted, nostalgic appeal. His work is influenced by his childhood and he has been quoted as saying that his intention is to bring a smile to people’s faces. Nigel loved to draw from a very young age. Starting with a love of drawing animals and monsters he has travelled through genres such as steam trains, pets, portraits and caricatures until finally his nostalgic love of toys and sweets has led him to his current portfolio. Nigel's work is held in a number of private collections around the world.
