the lid inlaid in white metal and inscribed 'Presented with a bible to Miss Agnes Fyfe on leaving district by the Newbigging S.S. Teachers and others as a token of their esteem Newbigging 21.9.91' , the fitted interior with letter rack, pen rest, fold out writing surface filted with gilt tooled burgundy skiver, and further compartments, housing twin associated inkwells, the rim inlaid with bone and abalone, 33cm wide
