Pittyvaich was built in 1975 by Arthur Bell & Sons in Dufftown, just a stones throw from The Dufftown Distillery. Most of its output was used in the Bell's blend, but it was also bottled as a single malt for the Flora & Fauna range and more recently in the form of the occasional Diageo Special Release. The distillery was sadly deemed to be surplus to requirements in 1993 and was demolished in 2002, making the liquid even more sought after.
A condition report is offered as an indication of any issues visible to the naked eye. As none of our staff is a professional conservator or restorer, buyers must satisfy themselves in respect of condition. The condition report does not form part of any contract between McTear's and the buyer, and all lots are offered "as is" in accordance with our Terms of Business available on our website.
