Hammer Highlights

13/01/2020     Jewellery

The first dedicated Jewellery Auction of 2020 was a busy one with only a few spare seats in the room. Several bidders came for two lots in particular by luxury brand Chopard.

Lots 256 and 311 sold for £3800 and £1000 respectively including fees. After competition from online, the first sold to an absentee bidder and the second to a bidder in the saleroom. It was a ruby and diamond dress ring (lot 343) that took the top spot for rings.

This Art Deco style piece made £2300, selling to an absentee bidder based in Poland. In fact, coloured stones feature prominently in the top performing lots of the day, demonstrating their continuing popularity.
