In this month’s Whisky Malts Online auction at McTear’s there is an abundance of tasty treats and astonishing collectables.

In lot 4, is the Edradour Straight from the cask aged 10 years. This half litre single cask bottling from one of the smallest distilleries in the country, packs a punch, bottled at 57.4% alcohol. Distilled 4 December 1995, botted 25 October, this 10-year-old, which was matured in a Sherry butt, is sure to appeal to the ‘sherryheads’ out there. Est. £40–£60.

BENROMACH 21 YEARS OLD TOKAJI FINISH

Onto another half-litre bottle in lot. 33, this time in the shape of the Bruichladdich Links Swilcan Bridge bottling. This particular bottle was the fourth release of eleven from the ‘Links’ golfing series by Bruichladdich. Each bottling has artwork by Graeme W. Baxter of a hole at different world-renowned links golf course. This bottle pictures the famous Swilcan Bridge on the 18th fairway at the Old Course St Andrews, and was commissioned for the International Pairs competition in 2005. This limited edition 10-year-old whisky is estimated to sell for £40–£60.

For those that enjoy seeking out unusual wood finishes, note the Benromach Hungarian Tokaji wine finish aged 21 years in lot. 26. This whisky was matured for over twenty years in sherry casks, and then transferred into the sweet white Tokaji wine casks for six months, before being bottled in September 2004. Estimated at £40–£60, it brings a taste of Hungary to a classic Speyside whisky.

There is plenty for the traditional whisky drinker too, with Lot. 35 (est. £60–£80) you can get your hands on three iconic Speyside whiskies. The Glenfarclas 105 (one litre), Glenfiddich Special Reserve in the Clan Sinclair tin, and Longmorn aged 15 years, perfect for someone who loves Speysiders!
