02/06/2018     Watches

The top three sellers in May’s dedicated watches auction were all rarer vintage timepieces. With bidding over the phone, in the room and online, lot 857 the Rolex GMT Master sold for over £9500 (including fees) to an internet bidder based in Hong Kong.

This lot was closely followed by a Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner at lot 859 which, despite being in worn condition, surpassed expectation sold for almost £7500 including fees. Lot 751 was another top seller and a watch that will always be in demand – an early Omega Seamaster which flew past estimate to sell to sell to the room at £7000.
